DJ Koolt confunde-se com o underground de Montevideu desde o final dos anos 90. Em 2013, co-fundou o Phonotheque e o clube transformou a cidade numa referência no Uruguai. Nunca sentiu necessidade de partir. Preferiu ficar, tocar regularmente enquanto fazia digging e ajudar a formar várias gerações de DJs locais.
Rui Vargas fez exatamente a mesma escolha, assumindo a programação do Lux Frágil desde o dia em que abriu portas. Ao longo de 25 anos, as suas escolhas ajudaram a transformar o clube no mais importante espaço dedicado à música eletrónica do país. Foi também um porto de abrigo para gerações de artistas, fazendo do Lux um viveiro da música eletrónica nacional.
Em agosto trocam os seus templos pelo Forte de Santiago da Barra, para uma emissão ùnica, a partir do mesmo púlpito.

DJ Koolt has been synonymous with Montevideo’s underground since the late 90s. In 2013 he co-founded Phonotheque and the club quickly became a reference for the best that South America puts out. He never felt the need to move away, instead he created a nest from which he plays regularly, digs for vinyl and raises generations of local DJs.
Rui Vargas made the exact same choice, programming Lux-Frágil since the day it opened. Twenty-five years of bookings built the club into the most notable electronic space in the nation. From there he too has been the safe harbour for generations of artists, and made the space an incubator for the sound of Portugal.
For one night in August, they swap their temples for a unique transmission, side by side, from the confines of our fortress.
